Footnotes

Footnotes work out of the box with standard Markdown syntax.¹ Hover over the superscript number to see a preview tooltip — no JavaScript library required, just a small custom script.

You can have multiple footnotes in a single post.² They render at the bottom of the page with a back-link to the reference point.

Bold text and italic text work normally. So does inline code.
